There is always an initial, free, no-obligation consultation. The fee is based on:
a. An hourly rate and advance payments.
b. A lump sum (total amount).
Cases are not accepted on a “no cure, no pay” basis.

Legal Expenses Insurance
Do you have a legal expenses insurance? Then our legal assistance may be free for you. De Vries Legal Consultancy can arrange this for you with your insurer.
Article 4:67 of the Dutch Financial Supervision Act stipulates that a legal expenses insurer must ensure that the agreement with the insured party stipulates that the insured party is free to choose a lawyer or other legally authorized expert (legal professional). This so-called “right to free choice of lawyer” means that you can choose a lawyer or legal professional to handle your case.
If you wish to be assisted by De Vries Legal Consultancy during legal or extrajudicial proceedings, you can exercise this “right to free choice of lawyer.” In that case, your legal expenses insurer is obligated to reimburse the costs, meaning that the legal assistance provided can be free of charge. De Vries Legal Consultancy will first check for you, free of charge, whether there is a maximum or deductible for the costs that the legal expenses insurer will reimburse for the chosen “external” lawyer or legal professional.
Legal assistance and Second opinion
Under Article 4:68 of the Dutch Financial Supervision Act, every legal assistance insurance policy must include a dispute resolution procedure in its terms and conditions. This means that the insured is entitled to a second opinion if they differ in their opinion about the likelihood of success of their case or the legal assistance provider’s approach. In the case of a second opinion, the approach to your case is assessed by an independent lawyer or legal expert, who acts as a binding advisor. The costs of the second opinion are covered by the legal assistance insurance policy, and the binding advice of the chosen independent lawyer or legal expert must be followed. De Vries Legal Consultancy can also act as an independent legal expert for the purpose of a second opinion.
